Installation

Each component and block has its own install command on its page. Free items include that command for every visitor. Paid items include it with Plus or Pro.

Requirements

A React 19 project with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and the @/* path alias. Components follow your theme tokens. These steps use the shadcn CLI.

Next.js

Create a project

Skip this for an existing app. Accept the default @/* import alias.

Initialize shadcn

This creates components.json, which the CLI reads to know where files go.

From the item page

Open the component or block in Explore and copy the command from its installation section. That command installs only that item.

The catalog slug is not an install command.

Paid source

Plus and Pro show the install command on paid items. Create a token in Settings and send it as Authorization: Bearer vanta_.... The MCP guide shows the header for each client. A paid registry request without that token is refused. Do not commit the token.
